Well not much happened this week. We laid low because Thursday Sophia and I came down with matching colds ;). We did a lot of coughing, sniffling and sleeping for a few days. It seems to be getting better but Sophia is still sleeping more than usual and still congested.
Last weekend we bought Sophia a fish tank thingy for her crib. It lights up and plays music. She really didn't pay much attention to it at first. On Monday night I put her to sleep and put her in her crib. She went down so easily and it was really quiet in her room. I went to check on her one last time before I went to bed only to find her wide awake starring at her fish tank all lit up and playing music. She accidentally hit the big button to start it all going and now she has a new trick. For the next few minutes we watched giggling as she would hit the button every time the fish and music stopped. It was really cute. Thank goodness it has a master switch to turn it all off or she would never have slept.
Tuesday was a cool day. We visited Daddy at work in the morning. He had a quiet window at work so we quickly got dressed and went for a quick visit.
Wednesday we went to WEM with cousin Marek, Payton and Tyler and their mom's of course. The worst moment of that day was when we got all the way there I realized I didn't bring the stroller...makes for an extra long walk around the huge mall while holding all the bags and a 12 lb babay. Auntie Shannon and Marek graciously let us use their carrier to make the walk easier.
Thursday I went to the spa (an awesome Valentines Day gift from my great husband). He and Sophia hung out while I nursed my cold in a steam room, massage, facial and hair styling. It was lovely...and I think the most time I have spent away from Sophia which was the worst part for me but I knew she was in good hands
Today we got to use yet another gift, this time it was a Christmas gift from Jason's mom to the Mayfield Dinner theater. We went to the Sunday brunch and saw the show Chicago which I just love. It took everything I had not to sing along. Great show!!! I just love going there, its such a treat. We were nervous because this was the most time we both have spent away from Sophia at the same time and Sophia is still nursing a bit of a cold so we weren't sure how she was going to be. Grandma Yvonne babysat and they had a great time.
