Craving Spring

Well this week has been a fun one with the spring preparations...now we just need spring-like weather. I don't know about the rest of you but I can't wait to get outside in the yard and garden. I look forward to planting our vegetables that we have started from seed in the house. It was the first year that we have done this and I can't wait to see how they grow outside as they are quickly out growing the pot indoors.
I also look forward to having my 'little shadow' in the garden with me. Sophia has planted some of her own flowers in pots and was a big help transplanting the tomatoes into larger pots. I am always amazed at how quickly she learns new tasks. She is very careful and patient (for the most part) when learning a new task. Her job was to scoop the soil into pots and she did an awesome job. I was so impressed with how little mess she made.

I love her look of concentration in some of the pictures.

My favorite picture this week. :)
Sophia says more words and does a little bit of sign language.
She says:
Dada
Papa
Thank you
Please (and signs it)
Done (and signs it)
bath time (sort of says it but we understand what she means. When we tell her its bath time she says it back and stands up and walks to the bath tub)
Nan
Mama (not very often, usually only when she is tired or really wants something)
Ira (for Iris)

She has her own little shelf in our pantry so when she is hungry and needs a snack she will get one and bring it to us. We had the shelf for Iris but Sophia caught on to it quickly so now they share it. Its just a bottom shelf with healthy snacks, juice and almond milk. So whatever she brings from the shelf we can give her. It works well for us then there is no guessing as to what she wants and she will usually eat whatever she picks.
Having a snack in her wagon.

She loves playing in her wagon and will climb up into it  by herself.

Just checking out the recycling. Sophia has the best hiding spots.

She wanted her toque on one day and then I took a picture when I noticed she looked like Waldo.

Have a great week everyone.
